"Last Chance"
Introduction
This high-fantasy illustration depicts a scene where a dragon lay waste to a tower, while a group of heroes coordinate one last desperate attack. The scene was all created in Affinity Studio, from sketch to finish.
The top two characters are based on characters I previously created.
Supplies
Using a drawing tablet, everything was hand-painted using textured brushes to give a tradicional painting look. Every element aims to balance tension, scale, and narrative impact.
Moodboard
Inspired by a first attempt at a similar scene I drew many years ago, I wanted to show an epic battle where the scale of the dragon could justify the desperation of the heroes' last attack.
